Ourika Valley Day Trip

The Ourika Valley day trip is one of the most popular and accessible excursions from Marrakech, offering a refreshing escape into the heart of the High Atlas Mountains. It is a perfect opportunity to trade the noise and heat of the city for cool, crisp mountain air, lush green landscapes, and a genuine glimpse into the traditional Berber way of life.

The valley is renowned for its stunning scenery, including terraced agricultural fields, fruit orchards, and the Ourika River, which rushes down from the mountains.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION :

-Payment: directly to the driver on the day of the tour.

-Please bring closed shoes.
-Minimum of 2 adults.

PROGRAM OF THE DAY :

• 08:30 AM – 09:00 AM: Pick-up from your accommodation in Marrakech and start the scenic drive toward the High Atlas Mountains.

• 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM: Stop to visit a traditional Argan Oil Women’s Cooperative.

• 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Stop at a Berber village to visit a local house and enjoy a traditional Mint Tea Ceremony.

• 12:00 PM – 01:00 PM: Arrive at Setti Fatma, the deepest point of the valley and the base for the trek.

• 01:00 PM – 03:00 PM: Guided Hike to the seven waterfalls of Setti Fatma (optional guide, comfortable shoes essential).

• 03:00 PM – 04:00 PM: Riverside Lunch on a terrace or table set right by the Ourika River (lunch cost is typically excluded).

• 04:00 PM – 05:00 PM: Free time for local exploration or a final photo stop in the valley.

• 05:00 PM – 06:00 PM: Begin the return drive and drop-off back at your accommodation in Marrakech.
