Imlil & Atlas Mountains

This day trip takes you deep into the High Atlas Mountains, the majestic range that forms the spine of Morocco. The primary destination is the small, peaceful village of Imlil, which sits at approximately 1,740 meters (5,700 feet) above sea level.

 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION :
  • Payment: directly to the driver on the day of the tour.
  • Preparation: Bring sturdy, closed-toe walking shoes and warm layers for the altitude.
  • Logistics: Requires a minimum of 2 people; confirm if the guide and lunch are included in your price.
  • Exclusions: The mule ride is an optional activity and not included in the base excursion cost.
PROGRAM OF THE DAY :

    • 08:30 am – 09:00 am: pick-up from marrakech and start the drive to the high atlas mountains.

    • 11:00 am: arrival in imlil and meeting with the local mountain guide.

    • 11:30 am – 02:00 pm: guided trek (or optional mule ride) through the villages and walnut groves of the imlil valley.

    • 02:00 pm – 03:30 pm: traditional berber lunch served on a panoramic terrace or in a local home.

    • 04:30 pm: start the drive back to marrakech.

    • 06:30 pm – 07:00 pm: arrival and drop-off back at your accommodation.
